Prosecutors are conducting searches in Bucharest and in Constanta County on Friday in a case investigating corruption crimes by officials from an international organization, the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) reported.
According to a DNA press release sent to AGERPRES, on Friday, following the legal authorizations from the competent court, home searches are being conducted in five locations in Bucharest municipality and Constanta County, one of which being the headquarters of a commercial company, the rest representing homes of individuals.
"Prosecutors with the National Anticorruption Directorate - Section for Combating Crimes Assimilated to Corruption Crimes, in collaboration with prosecutors from the Prosecutor's Office with the Bucharest Court of Appeal and with investigators from the United States Department of Defense - Defense Criminal Investigation Service (DCIS) and Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS), are conducting investigations into a cross-border criminal case targeting suspicions of corruption crimes by officials from an international organization," the press release informs.
