Senate's Abrudean says Moldova's integration into EU shall become a reality within next three years

Senate President Mircea Abrudean highlighted on Wednesday that Romania will continue to support the Republic of Moldova so that its integration into the European Union becomes a reality within the next three years.

Abrudean met with President of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu.

"I congratulated him on the result achieved in the parliamentary elections of 28 September and for the determination in supporting the Republic of Moldova on its European trajectory. Romania will continue to support the Republic of Moldova so that its integration into the European Union becomes a reality within the next three years," Abrudean wrote on Wednesday on his Facebook page.

Igor Grosu pointed out the "the historic vote of Moldovans" from Sunday and underscored that the Republic of Moldova wants to achieve the goal of completing the negotiations with the European Union by 2028.

"We discussed the results of the elections and the historic vote of Moldovans through which clearly expressed that Moldova's place is in the great European family. A difficult road lies ahead, but we are determined to work and achieve our goals. We are glad that Romania stands with us and we know that its experience is essential in order to complete the negotiations with the European Union by 2028," Igor Grosu conveyed on Facebook after the meeting with Mircea Abrudean.
