Senate President Abrudean: Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the US represents a priority

Senate President Mircea Abrudean highlighted after a meeting with Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Romania Michael Dickerson, that strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the US represents a priority.

"Today, at the Senate, I welcomed Mr Michael Dickerson, the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Romania. Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the US represents a priority. We need to continue cooperation in the defence and security area, and support the bilateral relations in a joint effort to promote the cultural and democratic values. In the context of security challenges in the region and at global level, it is very important to remain aware of hybrid threats and protect the citizens' freedom of expression," Mircea Abrudean wrote on Thursday on his Facebook page, Agerpres reports.

He added that "the US encourages Romania's reform measures in order to support a stable and predictable business environment."
