The wholesale trade turnover (except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) over Jan - July 2018 was up 9.3 percent YoY as unadjusted series, and 8.9 pct higher as workday and seasonally adjusted series, mainly due to a significant advance in wholesales of agricultural products and live animals, shows data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The rising figures - expressed as raw series - were the effect of growth in wholesales of unprocessed agricultural products and live animals (+16.3 pct), specialized wholesale of other products (+13.2 pct), wholesale trade intermediation (+11.5 pct), wholesale trade in consumer goods other than food (+9.8 pct), wholesales of other machinery, equipment and supplies (+9.2 pct), non-specialised wholesales (+8.8 pct), wholesales of IT and communications equipment (+4.4 pct), wholesales of food, beverages and tobacco (+3.9 pct), INS informs.
Expressed as workday and seasonally adjusted series, the wholesale trade turnover was driven up by the increase in wholesale trade in unprocessed agricultural products and live animals (+24.1 pct), specialized wholesales in other products (+14.2 pct), wholesale trade in other machinery, equipment and supplies (+11.1 pct), non-specialised wholesale trade (+10.7 pct), wholesale trade in consumer goods other than food (+10 pct), wholesale trade intermediation (+8.2 pct), wholesale trade turnover for IT and telecommunication equipment (+5.6 pct), wholesales of food, beverages and tobacco (+3.9 pct).
