Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Sorin Grindeanu on Monday welcomed at Parliament a delegation from the American bank JP Morgan, and the conclusion of the discussions was that stimulating the economy is essential, especially in the current social and economic context.
"Stimulating the economy is essential, especially in the current social and economic context! This was one of the clearest conclusions of the discussion with the delegation of the American bank JP Morgan. That is why it is important that the Social Democratic Party (PSD) agenda of measures on relaunching the economy, to which we add the proposals of the governing partners, is approved soon in Parliament! We want to apply it quickly and produce concrete results to the benefit of Romanian companies. We found that a large foreign investor of JP Morgan's calibre is very careful that the fiscal consolidation process is balanced," Grindeanu wrote in a social media post.
He added that reforms to cut government spending must be accompanied by solutions to support companies in starting investments from scratch.
PSD, I will be focused on not leaving the burden of budgetary consolidation on the shoulders of the most disadvantaged Romanians - pensioners, the unemployed, people with disabilities."
