The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Thursday, with turnover reaching 7.42 million lei (1.46 million euros) after the first 45 minutes of trading.
The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.18%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, rose 0.17%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most traded securities, recorded an increase of 0.16%, while the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment fund returns, remained flat.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) edged up 0.01%, while BET-NG, the index tracking the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, rose 0.18%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies listed on the AeRO market, recorded a notable increase of 3.57%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price gains were recorded by COMCM (+4.62%), Rompetrol Rafinare (+2.67%) and Bermas (+2.36%).
On the other hand, the shares of Sinteza (-4.62%), Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (-3.80%) and Condmag (-3.57%) posted the most significant declines.
