Stock Exchange opens Wednesday's session with gains across most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday's session with gains across most indices, with trading turnover reaching over 5.2 million lei (approximately 1.03 million euros) half an hour after the start of trading.

The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.33%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, rose 0.32%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most traded stocks, gained 0.25%, and the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, appreciated some 0.24%.

Meanwhile, the BET-FI index of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) fell 0.26%, while the BET-NG index, representing 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, advanced 0.31%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market (alternative trading system), was down 0.19%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Sinteza (+14.53%), Antibiotice (+2.95%), Erste Group Bank AG (+1.69%).

On the other hand, the largest declines were seen in Carbochim (-9.48%), Turism Felix (-6.82%), Digi Communications NV (-1.24%).
