Superb victory for CS Dinamo in EHF Champions League, Group A, against Fuchse Berlin

CS Dinamo Bucharest managed a superb victory over the German team Fuchse Berlin, 38-31 (18-19), on Thursday evening, in the Polivalenta Hall in the capital, in Group A of the men's EHF Champions League, inform agerpres.ro.

The first half was evenly balanced, with neither team having a lead of more than one goal. At half-time, the guests were one goal up, 19-18.

Dinamo dominated the second half, which started with three consecutive goals. The David Davis-coached team pulled away in the end, winning by seven goals.

Haniel Vinicius Inoue Langaro and Yoav Lumbroso scored 5 goals each for Dinamo, Branko Vujovic 3, Frederik Ladefoged Blazejewicz 3, Stanislav Kasparek 3, Miklos Rosta 3, Ante Kuduz 3, Andrii Akimenko 3, Ali Zein 3, Nicusor Negru 2, Haukur Thrastarson 2, Alex Pascual Garcia 2, Darko Djukic 1.

Ionut Iancu finished with 10 saves (35.71%) and Vladimir Cupara had 2 (13.33%).

The goals for the guests, last season's finalists in the EHF European League, were scored by Lasse Bredekjaer Andersson 8, Mathias Gidsel 7, Tobias Reichmann 6, Mijajlo Marsenic 3, Tim Freihofer 2, Matthes Langhoff 2, Nils Lichtlein 1, Max Beneke 1, Lukas Herburger 1.

Lasse Ludwig made 5 saves (27.78%), and Dejan Milosavljev had 3 (10.71%).

The match was refereed by Danish referees Mads Hansen and Jesper Madsen and the EHF delegate was Predrag Pavicevic from Montenegro.

In Wednesday's matches, Paris Saint-Germain Handball defeated Sporting Lisbon 30-28 and Orlen Wisla Plock lost at home to Veszprem HC 24-27. In another match played on Thursday, Eurofarm Pelister Bitola beat the Danish team Fredericia Handbold Klub 25-23 away.

Dinamo will play their next match on November 21, the rematch with Fuchse in Berlin.
