Roughly 99 percent of the household customers in the portfolio of energy supplier Electrica Furnizare were already charged a price below the cap at the beginning of the enforcement period of the offsetting and capping measures, which is why they were not eligible for November and December's bill capping facility, while another 700,000 customers were not eligible for the offsetting scheme, the company announced in a release on Thursday.
The company representatives state that the invoices issued by Electrica Furnizare now include mentions about the facilities offered by law for all the customers who meet the eligibility requirements.
Also, the invoices for eligible customers that made no reference about the offsetting and capping measures due for November - December 2021 have been canceled and the re-invoicing process was started all over to incorporate the facilities.
Customers are also assured that they won't be charged penalties for November - December 2021, nor will they be disconnected for possibly not footing the bills for that period.
