The team of the Lower Danube University of Galati coordinated by Professor Anamaria Ciubara has won the Excellence Award at the European Congress of Neuropsychopharmacology - ECNP 2025 held in Amsterdam, the higher education institution announced on Friday.

"Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Anamaria Ciubara and her team for the distinction received at the ECNP Congress 2025, held in Amsterdam. The paper 'Affective Disorders in Oncology Patients: Impact on Treatment Adherence and Quality of Life', coordinated by her, received the Excellence Award, in recognition of the valuable contribution of its research on the link between mental health and cancer diseases. We are proud of this achievement, which consolidates the position of the 'Lower Danube' University of Galati among the top institutions that promote academic excellence, research and interdisciplinary collaboration," the institution announced.

Anamaria Ciubara, primary care psychiatrist and habilitated professor at the Lower Danube University, is a graduate of the 'Grigore T. Popa' University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi and the 'Petre Andrei' University of Iasi, Faculty of Law, holding the title of Doctor of Medicine.

Her scientific activity includes numerous studies and projects dedicated to mental health, clinical psychiatry and research interdisciplinarity.

The European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Congress is the most important European scientific event in the field of neuroscience, psychiatry and clinical pharmacology, bringing together every year researchers, clinicians and specialists from around the world to present the latest discoveries regarding the treatments and mechanisms of brain diseases, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and the application of scientific results in medical practice.
