Temporary crossings are opened today in Romania at the border with Hungary, the Oradea Border Police Inspectorate (ITPF) reports.
"At the request of the Hungarian authorities, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, for the elections in the neighbouring country, the temporary border crossing point Beba Veche,Timis County and the 10 road communications occasionally opened from the common border with Hungary - Nadlac III, Graniceri, Variasu Mic and Iermata , Arad County; Rosiori, Voievozi and Cheresig, Bihor County; Horea, Peles and Bercu Satu Mare County - will be open to cross-border traffic between 07:00hrs and 20:00hrs, EEST," according to ITPF Oradea.
The temporary crossings are intended for border transit by persons residing in the adjacent area.
