Romanian tennis player Monica Niculescu on Sunday won the ENGIE Open de Limoges tournament, in France, with total prize money worth 115,000 USD, after she defeated in the final German player Antonia Lottner, 6-4, 6-2.
Monica Niculescu (30, WTA's 100th), fifth seeded, played the final against a 21-year old opponent, ranked 201st in the WTA. Niculescu had defeated Lottner before, in 2014 in Luxembourg (6-2, 6-2). The final in Limoges took up one hour and 13 minutes.
For her victory in this tournament, Niculescu will receive 16,129 euro and 160 WTA points. AGERPRES .
