U.S. Ambassador to Romania Hans Klemm says the wave of immigrants is a challenge to all the European Union member states, Romania included.
Migration figures faced by Europe are very high, the diplomat told students of Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great) in Suceava on Wednesday. This poses a problem even to developed countries such as Germany and Sweden, he added.
According to him, Romania has benefited from a favourable context, as major migration routes to the EU avoided the country. Nevertheless, many expect Romania to host some refugees, he mentioned.AGERPRES
