The Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) believes that the 2019 state budget is a optimistic one and, depending on the conclusions drawn after the debate in the plenary sitting of the two chambers of Parliament, the party will decide how to vote.
"This is an optimistic budget, with several fields facing visible increases, and it seems like a better proposal of a budget too, than the initial one put up for debate. However, its success exclusively depends on the determination of the ministries to use the resources as efficiently as possible. Depending on the conclusions they will draw after the debates of the two chambers, the UDMR groups will decide how to vote in the end," the leader of the UDMR Senators, Cseke Attila-Zoltan, stated on Wednesday, on the occasion of the general debate on the 2019 budget.
According to him, UDMR hopes 2019 to be the last year when Parliament is called to approve the state budget in the same year for which the budget is meant. "Of course, this is not the first time. Unfortunately, in the past ten years the same thing happened in 2010 and in 2017, but this better be the last time when the beginning of the year finds us debating on the state budget," said the Senator.
He also mentioned that UDMR had an active approach in the period before the debate.
In his, opinion, Parliament's decision to return the administration of small contributors to the county finance directorates has already proved to be good for collection.
Moreover, the UDMR representative spoke about the allocation of funds for motorway construction.
He added that it's important that in such fields as healthcare, culture, airport infrastructure there are concrete financing projects in the Transylvania region.
