he president of Force of Right, Ludovic Orban, co-president of the United Right Alliance (ADU), declared on Thursday that PSD and PNL represent "the gravest danger for democracy in Romania", noting that the two parties have campaigned through intimidation and threats and that the only political force that has the ability to "fight on an equal footing" with this "toxic coalition" is ADU.
"The battle that we, the free people of the United Right Alliance, are fighting is not a battle to get new seats for MEPs, mayors, county councilors or local councilors, but it is a battle to defend democracy in Romania, for that the PSD-PNL alliance is the most serious danger for democracy in Romania. The campaign carried out in recent months clearly shows that the state parties do not know how to campaign, presenting programs, doing good things for people, guaranteeing people rights, freedoms, a better life and a chance at a career for each Romanian. PSD and PNL are campaigning by intimidating free people, they are campaigning by putting fear in people's bones, threatening them with all the possible abuses they can carry out from the positions they hold temporarily", argued Orban, at an electoral event organized by the United Right Alliance in University Square.
He urged citizens to vote, noting that those who do not exercise this power actually encourage tyranny and the lack of democracy.
