The multinational exercise DYNAMIC FRONT 26, the U.S. Army's largest artillery interoperability drill in Europe, is taking place from January 26 to February 13 in Cincu with participating units from the U.S., Romania, Poland and France.

"The exercise represents the practical transposition of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line (EFDL) and aims to rehearse NATO regional plans, as well as integrate lethal and non-lethal effects across land, air, sea, cyber and space, in order to counter anti-access/area denial systems and massed forces," the Ministry of National Defense informed in a release on Monday.

According to the Ministry, DYNAMIC FRONT 26 places increased emphasis on command-and-control and simulation while conducting live-fire training across multiple Allied nations, reflecting the realities of modern warfare, where forces must operate across distance, national boundaries and domains, while maintaining the speed and precision of the decision-making process.

Live-fire drills are being conducted in several allied states, with Romania playing a key role as host of training activities at the Cincu Training Range, contributing directly to strengthening allied interoperability and NATO's deterrence and defense posture on the eastern flank.

As part of the exercise, the Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (MNC-SE HQ) will organize on February 9, in cooperation with the 56th Multi-domain Command - Europe, a Media Day at the Cincu Training Range. The event will include observation of firing points and ammunition impact, as well as close air support (CAS). A press conference will follow at the observation point.

DYNAMIC FRONT 26 highlights the role of the Multi-domain Command 56 - Europe in integrating effects at theater level, converging sensors, shooters, and decision-making processes to create operational dilemmas for potential adversaries. It also points out the command's role in advancing multi-domain operations and strengthening NATO's collective deterrence posture.

Dynamic Front 26 marks the final iteration of the exercise under its current construct, as it will merge next year with Arcane Thunder to form Arcane Front, the Ministry of National Defense said.

Through this exercise, the U.S., Romania and NATO allies reaffirm their enduring commitment to collective defense and regional security, the Ministry concluded.
