USR Bucharest welcomes the takeover of the mandate of Bucharest's general mayor by the liberal Ciprian Ciucu and reaffirms its commitment to a constructive partnership, oriented towards concrete results for the people of Bucharest.
According to the president of USR Bucharest, Vlad Voiculescu, the general advisors of the party will support projects that streamline the administration and reduce losses in subordinate institutions and municipal companies.
"We have already had several discussions with the new mayor general, Ciprian Ciucu, who expressed his desire for close collaboration with the USR. We will be, as always, a fair partner in Bucharest, just as we are in government. We will work together on a structural reform plan for the Bucharest administration, and the USR general advisors will support projects that streamline the administration and reduce losses in subordinate institutions and municipal companies. Obviously, the USR will support in Parliament the implementation of the referendum voted for by Bucharest residents, so that the new mayor general will have the necessary powers and financial resources for the major projects that the city needs," said Vlad Voiculescu, according to a statement sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
USR Bucharest emphasizes that the common priorities primarily target urbanism, along with infrastructure, public transport, health, education and environmental protection, ''areas in which USR's experience and projects can bring added value to the administration led by the new mayor general, as well as the continuation of major projects started during Nicusor Dan's mandate''.
Through this partnership, USR Bucharest reaffirms its commitment to responsible, transparent and results-oriented governance for the capital, the press release also states.
