The Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Romania, Do Duc Thanh, paid a courtesy visit to Brasov on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Romanian-Vietnamese bilateral relations, where he met with Deputy Mayor Dan Ghita.

According to a Brasov City Hall release sent on Tuesday, the two parties discussed potential cooperation between Vietnam and Brasov, particularly in the areas of education, economy, culture and tourism.

"In this context, His Excellency announced that a direct airline route between Bucharest and Vietnam will be opened next month, and in August next year, Vietnam will lift the visa requirement for citizens of 12 countries, including Romania (...). The Vietnamese official thus expressed his hope that more and more Romanian citizens will choose to visit his country. In return, the Deputy Mayor of Brasov spoke about Brasov's tourist potential and invited the Vietnamese official to the next edition of the Junilor Parade," the release said.
