An event dedicated to the Day of the Tatar Ethnicity in Romania will take place on Friday afternoon at the 'Dimitrie Gusti' National Village Museum.
According to a press release from the Tatar Democratic Union sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, the book and documentary film 'Toy,' which illustrates the wedding ritual, will be presented on this occasion, together with a multimedia photo-documentary exhibition showcasing the Tatar community as a whole, thus marking the inclusion of 'Tatar Wedding - TOY' in the National Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The event will be attended by representatives of embassies, CNR-UNESCO and the Romanian Institute for Human Rights (IRDO), the Ministries of Education and Culture, as well as members of civil society, special Tatar guests from around the world, NGOs and supporters of the Tatar Democratic Union.
The Romanian-English bilingual event is organised by the Tatar Democratic Union in partnership with the 'Dimitrie Gusti' National Village Museum.
