Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared himself convinced, on Wednesday evening, that the governing parties could function much better within the coalition, but they should respect each other more, respect the governing program and the agreements.

"I don't think I should start giving grades. I believe and I am convinced that we could function much better, but for that it would mean respecting each other more, respecting the government program, respecting the agreements and in this position I have constantly tried to avoid conflicts, not to exacerbate them. I cannot believe that our citizens see one of the parties in the coalition better when they see disputes, when they see totally divergent positions, which we could harmonize in such a way that, when we go out into the public space, we come out with some positions that are based on real data, we don't have to have the same ones, but they must be within a margin that is related to the realities of Romania and the responsibility that we have", Ilie Bolojan told a press conference at Victoria Palace, asked what grade he gives the governing coalition and what dissatisfactions he has regarding the way the coalition functions.

He emphasized in this context the need for governmental stability.

"I think we could improve these things, because otherwise, it is hard to assume, I told you that we will regain the trust of citizens and we will give the feeling of stability and security. Please believe me that in all the discussions we have with our financiers, with the major investors in Romania, with the rating agencies, one of the elements that constantly comes up is the one related to the government's stability, the predictability of the measures, the announcements that are made in one area or another, and the effect of this perception, which is formed, means, in free translation, additional costs and higher interest rates that Romania and, in the end, every Romanian citizen pays", pointed out Prime Minister Bolojan.
