The control authorities at the Albita Border Crossing Point (PTF) discovered, over the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a truck carrying several weapons and other suspicious military components set to enter Romania.
Representatives from several institutions, including the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), are conducting investigations into the case.
"This is an ongoing investigation. More information regarding the incident will be provided by the relevant institutions once the investigation is completed," Vaslui County Prefect Eduard Popica told AGERPRES.
Authorities have not provided any details on the origin or route of the transport.
