On Tuesday evening, a meeting of The Woman Connect team was held in Timisoara with women entrepreneurs from various fields in the city , with the objective of promoting good business practices, female leadership, but also the presentation of women who have been successful in their careers.

Timisoara Deputy Mayor Paula Romoceanu, who worked for over 20 years in a business before entering the local administration, underscored the importance of these women, who are examples for the other women around them and for future generations, to use the visibility they build through their own work and to bring up important issues for women in communities.

"Coming from the private sector to the public administration, I understood the efforts that the private sector constantly makes for the development of the city. It is important to create this permanent dialogue and points of trust between us and entrepreneurship, including female entrepreneurship. In Timisoara, it is clear that women are present in all fields; from production to heavy industry, there are women entrepreneurs, women managers. Timisoara is also built by women and we must say that. There are many women in key positions, in business, women in entrepreneurship. There is a need for contexts in which these women can get to know each other, share ideas, opinions and discover that together we can do even greater things than if we are alone," said Romoceanu.

The founder of The Woman magazine, entrepreneur Crina Ciocian, pointed out that she chose Timisoara for this event because it is a city with great entrepreneurial potential, including female entrepreneurship.

"We find women, in general, in many industries, in marketing, but the industries where we see them as decisionmakers are in the area of services, education, in the beauty area, most of the time. There are also industries in which women have made too little, for example in construction or energy. There are still industries where we find many men in management and leadership roles. But things change slowly, slowly, and Timisoara has a great potential in this regard," said Ciocian.

Bringing the event to an end, Romoceanu said that meetings like this one, in which women meet and share ideas, are important.

"No matter how high you get professionally, personally, as a woman, you always have something to learn from another woman. That is my message," Romoceanu concluded.

The concept of the Woman Connect meetings was launched in 2012 in Cluj, being dedicated to women who want to take their ideas forward, to discover new perspectives in entrepreneurship and to learn from the experiences of those who have already gone through similar stages.
