The construction of the road between Pitesti and Craiova will start in the beginning of next year, Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu stated on Friday, adding that at the end of May, the documentation for the design and implementation of this project will be completed.
After he paid a visit to the Ford Plant in Craiova, the head of the Executive mentioned that he discussed with the leadership of the company about the infrastructure in the area.
"At the end of May, the documentation for the design plus the implementation [...] will be analyzed, so that it can be put up for auction. This makes us optimistic thinking about certain deadlines. This autumn, we will have the winner of the auction, with all the construction site schemes [...] the beginning of the actual construction of the road between Pitesti and Craiova would be early next year, at the latest," Grindeanu stated.
According to the PM, this road is "extremely important" both for Ford and other companies in Craiova, as well as for people.
