Almost 1,500 emergency calls were made from Monday morning, 8:00 hrs until Tuesday at the same hour, to the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service (SABIF), out of these, a number of 789 representing Code Red and Code Yellow emergencies, stated on Tuesday, for agerpres., the manager of the institution, Alis Grasu.
"A number of 1,436 people received medical assistance from SABIF. Out of these, 789 people represented Code Red and Code Yellow emergencies. Out of the overall number of calls, 166 people were in public places when they called for the ambulance. A number of 68 homeless people were transported to the General City Hall shelters and the district mayoralties, nine homeless people were taken to emergency hospitals and hospitals of the City Hall," stated the doctor.
Alis Grasu said that 43 people suffered fractures, sprains and dislocations and 12 pregnant women were transported to the hospital to give birth.
