76.4 pct pass rate at Baccalaureate exam (Education Minister Deca)

Minister of Education Ligia Deca said on Monday that the pass rate for the first session of the Baccalaureate exam is 76.4%, up 3.6% from last year (72.8%).

A total of 39 candidates obtained an overall average of 10.

According to the minister, the written tests were held in 477 examination centers and all those who requested to take the Baccalaureat exam in adapted conditions were able to do so, with special cases being approved in the case of 772 candidates.

Deca told a press conference that 14,000 assistant teachers and more than 10,000 teacher assessors took part in the exam.

The Ministry of Education published on Monday, at 11:30, on its dedicated website, the results of the June - July 2024 session of the national Baccalaureate exam.

According to the data recorded in the exam application, 99,371 candidates passed the Baccalaureate exam (95,112 candidates from the 2024 class and 4,259 from previous classes), out of the total of 130,041 present.

As a result, the cumulative pass rate, before appeals, is 76.4%, up by 3.6% compared to the first session last year (72.8%).

For the current year, the success rate is 81.5%, an increase of more than 3% compared to the first session of the previous year (78.4%), while for the classes of previous years the percentage is 31.9%, more than 3% higher than last year (28.5%).
