Almost 136,000 people enter Romania on Thursday, of whom round 9,400 Ukrainians

The Inspectorate General of the Border Police (IGPF) informs that on Thursday, 135,531 people entered Romania through border points throughout the country, of whom 9,417 were Ukrainian citizens, down by about 4.4% compared to the previous day, reads a Friday's press release, told Agerpres.

Approximately 135,531 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with more than 56,800 means of transport, completed the control formalities through the border points throughout the country, both on the way in and on the way out of Romania.

As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 3,133,413 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania.

In the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border" - the border police detected 45 illegal acts (26 crimes and 19 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the value of the contravention fines applied amounts to over 6,800 lei.

Assets worth approximately 179,000 lei were seized.

On Thursday, 11 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country and 46 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
