The General Border Police Inspectorate informs that on Monday, 66,671 people, of whom 6,866 Ukrainian nationals, entered Romania through border checkpoints throughout the country, down by about 9.5% compared to the previous day, told Agerpres.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, approximately 138,700 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with almost 40,000 means of transport, completed the control formalities at the border crossing points nationwide, both on the outbound and on the inbound.
As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 2,831,546 Ukrainian nationals entered our country.
As part of the specific activities at crossing points and the green border, the border police found 42 illegal acts (25 infractions and 17 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens. Fines worth over 11,600 RON were issued.
Assets with an estimated value of approximately 178,500 RON were confiscated.
On Monday, 20 foreign citizens who did not meet the legal requirements were denied entry to the country, and nine Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
