German Ambassador in Bucharest Cord Meier-Klodt has recited Mihai Eminescu's poem "Revedere" (Reunion), on Romania's National Culture Day, and also inaugurated on the same occasion, in the courtyard of the embassy, a mural painting showing the long road traveled by the Danube - from its spring in the Black Forest mountains to the Danube Delta.
In a video posted on Tuesday on Facebook, the diplomat said that the National Culture Day is also a very good day to celebrate the Romanian-German relations in the cultural field.
"I am inviting you all to inaugurate together, in the courtyard of our embassy, a contemporary work of art, a mural painting symbolizing the profound relation existing between our countries. The work was created by two young architects from Bucharest. It shows the Black Forest mountains, in the southern part of Germany, and the pelicans here, in the Danube Delta. Between this two points, as a bridge linking our countries, also through time - there is the Danube," said Cord Meier-Klodt in the said video, while presenting the work of art.
