Romanian tennis player Andreea Cristina Mitu won on Monday the $15,000-challenger tournament of Antalya, after defeating in the final Turkey's Ayla Aksu 6-2 6-3.
Mitu (25 years old, WTA #238), main seed, made it to the victory in one hour and 18 minutes in the final act of a tournament that had been disrupted by rain in the past days.
In the semifinals Mitu prevailed 6-2 6-4 over another Turkish player, Basak Eraydin (22 years old, WTA #347), 3rd seed.
For Andreea Mitu (former world #68 in 2015) this was the first tournament since November 2016.
