Another 58 Romanian citizens returned home from Israel on Saturday, on an aircraft operated by a private company.
''Further to the information provided in the context of the deteriorating security situation in the State of Israel and the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs that, following the constant efforts of the MAE's Task Force, on October 14, 58 more Romanian citizens returned safely to Romania, by means of an air flight operated by a private company,'" MAE said.
The mobile consular team of the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah remains ready to provide consular assistance to Romanian citizens who will request support for their return home from Israel.
MAE strongly recommends Romanian citizens who are still on the territory of the State of Israel to strictly follow the instructions of the Israeli authorities.
It also strongly reminds Romanian citizens who are temporarily on the territory of this state and wish to return to Romania to contact the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv and announce their presence in the region, communicating their identification data and their own contact details to the e-mail address [email protected] and to the 24/7 telephone number of the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv: +972 54 5643279, as well as that of the Consulate General in Haifa: +972 543 998 038, in order to be contacted.
MAE underlines the importance of using these channels by Romanian citizens for the correct centralisation of information and the streamlining of dialogue in order to provide consular assistance.
MAE also reiterates its recommendation to Romanian citizens who intend to travel to Israel to reschedule their trip and to follow the "Travel Alerts" section on the MAE website (https://www.mae.ro/travel-alerts/2938).
MAE recommends consulting the websites http://telaviv.mae.ro, https://consular-protection.ec.europa.eu/travel-advice_en and http://www.mae.ro, under the heading "Travel Advice," and brings to mind that Romanian citizens travelling abroad can use the SMS alert service, related to the information campaign "An SMS can save your life!."
