Another patient from Matei Bals Institute's section affected by fire has died

Another patient who had been admitted at the Matei Bals Epidemiology Institute, in the ward affected by the fire on Friday morning, January 29, has died on Thursday, the Ministry of Health announced.

The patient was transferred after the fire to the Marius Nasta Pulmonology Institute in Bucharest.

"It is about an 89 year old patient, transferred after the fire to the Marius Nasta Pulmonology Institute in Bucharest," says a press release sent by the Ministry of Health to AGERPRES.

The patient had been diagnosed with a severe form of SARS-CoV-2 and presented multiple associated afflictions, and the forensic investigation will determine the cause of death, according to the source.

The death toll following the fire at Matei Bals has thus gone up, to 12.
