The meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) devoted to discussing, among others, illegal migration and measures to halt illegal logging, started on Tuesday at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace, according to the media.
CSAT will also look into the latest developments in the non-state players of a Jihadi nature and their consequences to the Euro-Atlantic space; the latest developments in the Balkans and their impact on Romania's foreign and security policy; political prospects in Moldova; illegal migration Europe-wide; measures approved and actions taken as well as the outcome of the fight against illegal logging.
The Government's amendments to a law approving Governmental Emergency Ordinance 109/2011 on corporate governance at Government-run enterprises; the activity of the national security bodies in 2015 and their main 2016 objectives; the activity of the Cybersecurity Operational Council, the National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO) and CSAT in 2015, along with the CERT-RO 2016 annual action plan will also be scrutinised by the CSAT.
