Bucharest Gaming Week kicks off Saturday

Game development workshops for high schoolers, film screenings inspired by video games and gaming competitions are all included with the Bucharest Gaming Week programme, the biggest gaming event in Romania, which kicks off on Saturday in Bucharest, informs Agerpres.

 

According to a press release, for nine days, gamers will be able to compete online and offline in the hottest competitions in the most popular video games of the moment and will meet their favourite gaming YouTubers.

 

"Bucharest Gaming Week kicks off with a series of actions on the most popular streaming platforms on October 5 and 6, where popular content creators will challenge their communities with missions in the most beloved video games. Gamers from all over the country are invited to participate to the challenges launched online by Xslayder, iSilent, Bobospider, Gannicus, Jaxi, LucaLuk, S1KE, Adrii von B, Sevena, Umbriţa and many others," the same source says.

 

Between October 7-13, Bucharest Gaming Week offers a multitude of related events that highlight the creative power and opportunities offered by the gaming industry, as well as the multitude of environments through which gaming manifests itself, from workshops of game development for high schoolers at film screenings inspired by video games.

 

"The meeting points of the gaming community, Bucharest Geek Hub, 1UP Gamers Pub, Dome Internet and Gaming and Red Goblin, are preparing a series of activities, competitions and special offers in which participants can win invitations to the central event at the Palace of the Parliament. Among the activities are boardgame tournaments, Dungeon&Dragons competitions and trivia contests," the same source informs.

 

The week culminates with the long-awaited central event at the Palace of Parliament on the weekend of October 12-13. Gamers will meet the most popular content creators, take part in competitions and tournaments with prizes in the most popular games and experience new games, car simulators and many other surprises.

 

"The young people will be able to participate in a treasure hunt with total prizes of over 20,000 euros," reads the press release.
