Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Wednesday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's session higher on almost all indices, and the trading was almost 68.08 million RON (13.67 million euros).

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 15.787 million RON, followed by Digi Communications shares, with 5.4 million RON, and OMV Petrom, with 5.24 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 0.95%, to the value of 17,330.68 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, also closed in the plus by 0.95%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an increase of 0.91%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, appreciated by 0.30%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 1.60%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded an appreciation of 0.79%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed down by 0.11%.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of Mecanica Fina (+9.66%), Sphera Franchise Group (+5.65%) and Farmaceutica Remedia (+4.76%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of UAMT (-4.21%), SIF Hoteluri (-3.48%) and Prefab (-2.58%).
