Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower Monday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Monday's session lower, with the value of transactions amounting to 43.4 million RON (8.72 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.13%, to 17,409.68 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, closed down by 0.16%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a decline of 0.12%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, increased by 0.22%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, fell by 0.35%, while the BET-NG index, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded a depreciation of 0.18%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed up by 1.09%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 7.93 million RON, followed by OMV Petrom shares, with 6.87 million RON, and Hidroelectrica, with 4.59 million RON.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+11.51%), Ropharma (+4%) and Electroaparataj (+2.821%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Mecanica Fina (-8.57%), Rompetrol Rafinare (-7.34%) and Chimcomplex Borzesti (-4.38%).
