Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Wednesday's trading session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session higher on all indices, with transactions of 67.897 million RON (13.643 million EUR).

The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, went up by 0.70%, to 17,997.77 points, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained 0.74%.

Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.67% higher, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies closed up 0.38%.

The return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK increased by 0.87%, and the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG closed 1.23% higher.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market rose 0.09%.

The most liquid securities were those of OMV Petrom, with transactions amounting to 19.857 million RON, followed by the shares of Banca Transilvania - 7.402 million RON and of Fondul Proprietatea - 6.498 million RON.

According to BVB information, the biggest increases in the value of shares were recorded by Alumil (+10.53%), Societatea Energetică Electrica (+5.54%) and Artego (+5.49%).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Turism Felix (-3.33%), Carbochim (-2.86%) and Bermas (-2.68%).
