The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on most indices on Friday, with turnover reaching 7.02 million lei (1.38 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.27%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, also rose by 0.26%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid shares, gained 0.17%, while the BET-BK, the benchmark index for investment funds, remained flat.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies was also unchanged, while the BET-NG index, tracking the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, advanced by 0.33%.
In contrast, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, recorded a decline of 0.77%.
According to BVB data, the biggest increases were registered by Altur (+4.35%), Medlife (+2.96%) and Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (+1.97%).
Conversely, there were decreases in the shares of Aeta (-7.26%), Carbochim (-5.24%) and SIF Hoteluri (-4.63%).
