Bucharest stock market opens higher on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday's trading session with almost all indices on the rise, and with RON 2.73 million (EUR 550,491) worth of transactions performed in the first 30 minutes after the start of trades, told Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, inched up 0.15 percent, while the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares advanced 0.14 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers was 0.10 percent up, and the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK also gained 0.15 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies was 0.41 percent down, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG picked up 0.06 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market opened 0.28 percent lower.

According to BVB, the top risers were UCM Resita (+3.10 percent), Sphera Franchise Group (+1.25 percent), and Teraplast (+0.98 percent).

Conversely, the top three fallers were Sinteza (-12.03 percent), Energopetrol (-4.88 percent), and Armatura (-3.64 percent).
