Bucharest stock market opens higher on Thursday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's trading session with almost all indices on the rise and 40 minutes into business, the turnover stood at 6.027 million RON (1.225 million euros), told Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, picked up 0.15 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 37 shares rose 0.14 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers opened 0.14 percent up, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK advanced 0.11 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies went down 0.11 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG rose 0.13 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market was up 0.07 percent.

According to BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were Rompetrol Rafinare (+2.5 percent), IAR Brasov (+2.28 percent) and Transport Trade Services (+2.12 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Romcarbon (-14.93 percent), Oil Terminal (-4.83 percent), and Antibiotice (-1.12 percent).
