Bucharest stocks close higher on Monday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Monday's trading session with all indices in the green and RON 100.85 million (EUR 19.95 million) worth of trades, informs Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, advanced 0.59 percent to 20,811.10 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained 0.55 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.64 percent higher, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK gained 0.53 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies picked up 1.71 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG advanced 0.83 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market gained 0.63 percent.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Hidroelectrica with RON 19.37 million, followed by OMV Petrom, which generated trades worth RON 9.75 million, and Banca Transilvania with RON 7.31 million.

According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Transilvania Investments Alliance (+5.24%), OMV Petrom (+3.22%) and insurance broker Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+3.19%).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (-8%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-6.45%), and Mecanica Fina (-4.37%).
