The current state of the energy sector in Romania will be the subject of debate at a new edition of the PRIA Energy Market Liberalisation & Strategic Challenges conference, to be held today in Bucharest.
According to organisers, the conference brings together three ministries in the same panel - Energy, Environment and Development - together with the Competition Council and the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), to publicly discuss coordinated national strategies.
Among the attendees will be Minister of Energy Bogdan Ivan; senior official with the Ministry of Energy Pavel Nitulescu; Deputy Chairman of the Competition Council Dan Pascu; senior official with the Technical Directorate of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA) Anca Ginavar; Romgaz General Manager Razvan Popescu; E.On Romania CEO Volker Raffel; Executive Director of the Federation of Associations of Energy Utility Companies (ACUE); Cristina Setran - general manager of OPCOM (Electricity and Natural Gas Market Operator); Ion Sterian - general manager of Transgaz, and Silvia Vlisceanu - executive director of the Association of Electricity Producers - HENRO.
