Chamber Speaker Liviu Dragnea pays official visit to Israel

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, national leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea is paying an official visit Tuesday though Thursday to the State of Israel, at the invitation of the Speaker of Israel's Parliament - the Knesset, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, informs a release sent to Agerpres.

The visit is a natural continuation of the talks between the two Speakers in March 2017, referring to the commencement of a P2P (Parliament to Parliament) cooperation format. During the visit, the Romanian parliamentary delegation will hold meetings with Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and other Israeli high dignitaries. The agenda also includes several working sessions at the parliamentary committees' level, as well as a visit to the Yad Vashem Memorial.

The Chamber's secretary Georgian Pop (the PSD group), the chairman of the Committee for Defence, Public Order and National Security Dorel Gheorghe Caprar (the PSD group), the deputy chairwoman of the Committee for Foreign Policy Natalia Intotero (the PSD group), the deputy chairman of the Joint Committee for parliamentary oversight control upon the SRI (Romanian Intelligence Service) activity, Marian-Gheorghe Cucsa (the ALDE - Alliance for Liberals and Democrats, minor at rule - group), the Senate's quaestor, Doina-Elena Federovici (the PSD group), and the representative of the Jewish minority in the Parliament of Romania, Silviu Vexler, are part of the delegation.
