The Classical Christmas Market, the first Christmas fair in Romania to feature exclusively classical music dedicated to the winter holidays, opens on Friday at 17:00 on the esplanade of the Bucharest National Opera House, agerpres reports.

The event organized by the Bucharest National Opera House and the "Madrigal - Marin Constantin" National Chamber Choir together with the Cantus Mundi National Program will be open until December 31 between 10:00 and 21:00.

Covering no less than 12,000 square meters, the Classical Christmas Market offers visitors of all ages the festive winter holidays atmosphere and charm set in an impressive scenery, with various attractions, in a fairytale musical setting.

A special caroling stage is ready to showcase children's performances and concerts under the Cantus Mundi National Program and more, there are Elves Workshops and workshops for the little ones, amazing sleigh rides over the skating rink, rides with the express mini-train of the Children's Comic Opera Theatre, a horse-drawn carriage, and traditional wooden stalls with holiday goodies and many other surprises, everything against a season's colored musical background.

Visitors will be able to enjoy gift-crafting activities at the Elves Workshops, traditional food, nicely frosted sweets and mulled wine at the Christmas wooden cottages and many other surprises.
