The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Monday afternoon two nowcasting warnings for Code Red blizzard in the mountainous area of the Cluj, Caras-Severin and Hunedoara counties, at altitudes of over 1,800 meters, valid in the next few hours.
According to meteorologists, until 22:00, in the mountain area of Cluj County, at over 1,800 meters, strong blizzard, wind gusts that will exceed 125 - 135 km/h, heavy snowfall and reduced visibility to zero will be reported.
Also, until 20:30, there will be similar phenomena in the mountainous area of Caras-Severin and Hunedoara counties, at altitudes of over 1,800 meters. In these areas, wind gusts will exceed 140 - 145 km/h.
Until 21:00, a Code Orange of wind gusts of over 75 - 80 km/h, snow storms, blizzard scattering the snow and low visibility in the mountainous area of Caras-Severin County, at altitudes of 1,200 meters is in force.
