The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued several nowcasting Code Yellow warnings for fog, valid on Friday morning in the capital and in areas of 16 counties.
Over the next two hours, fog will reduce visibility to below 200 metres and locally below 50 metres, in Bucharest and in several localities in Ilfov, Giurgiu, Bacau, Botosani, Suceava, Galati, Neamt, Vrancea, Iasi, Vaslui, Braila, Ialomita, Buzau, Calarasi, Dambovita and Teleorman counties.
Moreover, until 11:00, in the mountainous areas of Brasov, Arges, Prahova and Dambovita counties, above 1,800 metres, wind gusts of 90-120 km/h are expected.
Immediate hazard warnings are issued for a maximum period of six hours.
