Ioan-Radu Burnete, executive director at Concordia Employers' Confederation, will hold the office of presidential adviser as of July 1, according to a decision published in the Official Journal.
''Starting July 1, 2025, Mr. Ioan-Radu Burnete is appointed to the office of presidential adviser,'' reads the decision signed on Thursday by president Nicusor Dan.
Burnete informed on Facebook that he will be an adviser on economic and social issues.
''The appointment decree (...) enters into force on July 1. Until then, I will have a short transition period from Concordia to the Presidential Administration where Dragos Anastasiu remains an honorary advisor until June 30. However, I have already started to support my president. At Concordia, I am no longer involved in decisions or in the organization's public communication, but it is a matter of respect for my colleagues and my job to leave a tidy house when I leave. (...) I do not want to make any other statements at this point only that I have great confidence in the new president of Romania and I am convinced that I will be part of a transparent presidential administration open to dialogue and consultation with society,'' he said.
