The Minister of Labor, Marius Budai, announced on Wednesday, at the end of the Government meeting, the adoption of the decision to establish December 2, 2022 a work-free day for the employees of public institutions and authorities.
It is a Friday that falls between a public holiday and a weekly rest day.
"It was approved. (...) We have a provision in the Labor Code that clearly tells us that, for the sake of predictability during the year, in January we should approve such a government decision. We have only respected the Labor Code today," the minister told a press conference at Victoria Palace of Government.
Budai estimated that no other "bridges" will be declared this year, linking days off.
