The state budget for 2019 will be adopted in January next year, the Speaker of the Deputies' Chamber, Liviu Dragnea, stated on Thursday.
"In January, from what I know. Because of this game we were forced to play with the CSAT (Supreme Council of National Defence): here is the approval, there is no approval. Basically, today, the parliamentary session ended in glory for the Opposition, with a great victory for the censure motion. In the next period we are going to hold consultations with the leaders of the parliamentary groups from the Deputies' Chamber and the Senate and discuss with Mr. President Tariceanu to see if we convene an extraordinary session in January or not and, if we convene such session, when precisely should we hold it," Dragnea told a press conference.

Asked if the Ordinance on fiscal-budgetary measures is related in any way to next year's budget, Dragnea said that most provisions in this normative act will have an impact on the budget, "to a certain extent."
"Most provisions in this Ordinance will, indeed, have an impact on next year's budget, to a certain extent. Before the adoption of each draft law concerning the state budget, each Government adopted an Ordinance on fiscal-budgetary measures, a more or less substantial one," mentioned Dragnea.
