Doru Ilie Stoian, bronze medalist at European Junior Under-23 Weightlifting Championships in Poland

Romanian weightlifter Doru Ilie Stoian won the bronze medal in the snatch, in the 85 kg category, Thursday, at the European Junior Under-23 Weightlifting Championship in Zamosc (Poland). 

Stoian was awarded the bronze with the performance of 154 kg. In the clean and jerk he ranked 7th, with 175 kg, and in total he stood on 5th place, with 329 kg. 

Thus, Romania won 20 medals in the European Junior Weighlifting Championships (8-4-8), the review for juniors being 5-4-6, and for the Under-23, 3-0-2. 

Romania is taking part with a lot of 15 athletes in the European Junior and Under-23 Championships in Poland, with 4 boys and 7 girls in juniors category, three boys and one girl in the Under-23. The last representative of our country is Andrei Mircea Roman (Under-23) at the 105 kg. category, who will compete on Saturday.
