The framework plans for high school education will be put up for public consultation next week at the latest, minister of education and research Daniel David told a press conference at the Victoria Palace on Monday.

"I hope on Friday, but on Monday at the latest, we will put up for public consultation the framework plans for high school education. We have passed the debate period, the inclusion of various suggestions. I know that this is a period of transition, but it seems absolutely normal to me that, being the minister who started this process, I should try to conclude this process, and then the future minister, if there is someone else, should decide whether to continue or not," stated David.

He specified that on Wednesday at the latest, he will publicly announce another step - establishing the missions that universities assume: education; education and research; education and advanced research.

"At the latest on Wednesday, if not sooner, we will publicly announce the other important step we have taken, namely to establish the missions that various universities assume, in a bottom-up process. Each university chooses the mission it wants, being able to opt for three missions: education, education and research, education and advanced research, and after that it will be treated as such. That is, it will be evaluated through the lens of the missions it has undertaken. It is a fair approach, honest for society, honest for students, for future students and, at the same time, which strengthens (...) universities, because you evaluate them through the lens of the mission they have assumed, not through the lens of other criteria," explained the minister.
